Sony Pictures Posts $488 Million Q2 Profit

Spider-Man just handed Sony Pictures a massive four hundred eighty-eight million dollar profit for the second quarter. That is a five hundred twenty-seven percent swing from the ninety-three million dollars they made during the same period last year. The box office smash Spider -Man: Brand New Day drove theatrical sales through the roof. It even surpassed Avengers: Endgame for a historic three-day opening record in North America. The movie also became the fastest to cross one billion dollars internationally outside of Endgame. Revenues for the picture division hit three point two billion dollars, marking a thirty-seven percent jump. And the studio is not done yet. Grand Theft Auto 6 is landing soon on the PlayStation 5 after a thirteen year wait.
