Askiisoft Confirms Massive Katana Zero DLC
October 22, 2026 · 1 source
The Katana Zero DLC has ballooned to the size of a full sequel, packed with over thirty new songs. Justin Stander announced the expansion on October 22 via Bluesky, confirming it's still on the way. Development began a week after the April 2019 launch, so it's been a seven-year effort. The team also said the DLC will stay free, a promise they repeated in April 2025. No release date has been set, but Askiisoft hinted more updates are coming soon. The expansion was first teased in March 2021, but its scope has since swelled dramatically. GameSpot gave the base game an eight out of ten, praising its brutal style and story. Fans have been waiting since the 2025 update that the DLC remains free, yet no launch window has arrived. Stander summed it up: "We'll keep the masks on until we're ready to show you."
