Shigeru Miyamoto Declares November 1st Official Pikmin Day

Shigeru Miyamoto just used a surprise Nintendo Direct to declare November first as official Pikmin Day. He picked the date because three Pikmin standing shoulder to shoulder look like the numbers eleven one. The sudden holiday announcement brought no news of a brand new game. And here is the catch. The timing lands right before the Nintendo Switch two edition of Pikmin four drops on November twelfth. That new version lets players use the built-in microphone to give Oatchi vocal commands. It also brings an exclusive timed mode called Dandori Academy. Mobile players are getting updates too. Pikmin Bloom is adding underground caves that risk total Pikmin devastation for heaps of treasure. Nintendo even capped off the presentation with a brand new animated Pikmin short. Miyamoto promised those cartoons will become a monthly occurrence.
