Samsung is turning the first-ever Olympic Games on African soil into a high-tech showcase with its Galaxy gear. The Youth Olympic Games run Oct. 31-Nov. 13, 2026 in Dakar, featuring over 2,700 athletes from 207 nations in 25 sports. Samsung, a Worldwide Olympic Partner since 2010, will embed Galaxy S26 Ultra phones into skateboarding and taekwondo coverage. The phones give handheld and vertical perspectives that complement traditional cameras. Medalists will use the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition for the debut Victory Selfie, sharing their moments instantly. At the Samsung Open Station, athletes can record short Victory Talk videos and make custom posters on the Victory Wall. A community lounge lets them play a Dakar-themed mobile skateboarding game and connect with peers. Samsung also launches local media, retail and citywide pin programs across Senegal. These let fans experience the Games and Galaxy technology up close. "The Youth Olympic Games represent a stage for young athletes where competition, connection and growth come together," said Stephanie Choi.
