MongoDB Launches Google ADK Integration For AI Memory
November 4, 2026 · 1 source
MongoDB just dropped a new integration for the Google Agent Development Kit that gives AI agents durable memory for state and long-term context. As developers move agents from simple prototypes into real-world production, keeping track of user conversations across restarts becomes a major hurdle. This setup uses Google ADK version two as the orchestration layer while MongoDB handles the session and memory storage. The new MongoDbSessionService saves events and application state so agents remember prior interactions without losing their place. Meanwhile, a second service called MongoDbMemoryService pulls in past session data and uses keyword matching to recall important details. Developers no longer need to set up a separate vector database or build custom pipelines to sync app data into a different index. The integration also taps into MongoDB Vector Search powered by Voyage AI models for semantic and hybrid search capabilities. Everything runs smoothly on MongoDB Atlas or self-managed MongoDB eight point zero deployments, cutting out extra latency between different systems.
