Maya Hawke Joins Magic: The Gathering Movie

Stranger Things star Maya Hawke just landed the first major role in the upcoming live-action Magic: The Gathering movie from Legendary and Hasbro. Producers made her the very first offer for the film, and her character is expected to be a key part of the ensemble. Matt Johnson is set to direct the project and co-write the script alongside Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald. This billion dollar franchise started way back in nineteen ninety-three and now boasts more than fifty million fans worldwide. The live-action feature is just one piece of a massive new film and television universe. Hawke's specific role is still under wraps, but the movie will build on decades of fantasy lore from the iconic card game.
