October 23, 2026 · 2 sources

Jane Wiseman, Paramount+'s original-series chief, is leaving the streamer after Skydance's 2025 merger. She joined in August 2025, greenlighting hits like "Discretion" with Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning. The lineup has "The Best of Us" with Jeremy Strong, a "Clueless" reboot, and dramas with Davis and Hathaway. Under Wiseman, Paramount+ ordered nearly 30 new series and renewed 16 more. She reports that she is proud of the team, the new structure keeps HBO Max in charge. Casey Bloys, Skydance DTC co-CEO, announced the memo that will merge the platforms. Sarah Aubrey, HBO Max's head of originals, will now oversee Paramount+'s original slate. HBO leaders-Glenn Whitehead, Francesca Orsi, Amy Gravitt, Nina Rosenstein, Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller-remain in their roles. HBO Max holds 140 million subscribers worldwide, while Paramount+ has 82 million. Wiseman's departure follows Cindy Holland's exit and signals a shift toward an HBO-centric strategy. The memo notes that both streams will keep momentum until they fully integrate. The move leaves open how many more exits will follow.
