Star Trek Online Players Honor Patrick Stewart At Age Eighty-Six

Two thousand players flooded Star Trek Online last night to mourn the death of Sir Patrick Stewart at age eighty-six. Daily player counts normally sit around twelve hundred people in federated space. Fans put aside all in-game conflict to honor the man who played Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Huge crowds gathered at Starfleet Academy holding torches aloft. Other players parked fleets of starships around Earth Spacedock for massive firework displays. The actor reprised his iconic role from twenty-twenty to twenty-twenty-three in Star Trek Picard. Fans are now asking developer Arc Games to permanently add Château Picard into the virtual world. The development team shared their own loving tribute online after the tragic news broke.
