Cloudflare Launches Private Origins for Enterprise Traffic

Cloudflare just made its Private Origins service generally available for enterprise traffic. You can point a proxied DNS record straight at a private IP address. Your internal tools and AI agent backends do not need to face the public internet anymore. This setup skips opening firewall ports or running extra connector software on your origin. Standard application services like firewalls, bot management, caching, and rate limiting now protect these private applications automatically. Some advanced features like Argo Smart Routing are still left out. The company is already targeting a closed beta for private-to-private traffic in early twenty twenty-seven.
