Netflix, Hoichoi Partner for Hindi, Tamil, Telugu

Every new Hoichoi series over the next two years will launch in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Netflix. The joint release “The Cursed Temple of Kauriburi” debuts Nov. 6 starring Jeetu Kamal, Solanki Roy and Paoli Dam. Netflix will also carry 14 existing Hoichoi shows, from crime thrillers to folklore horror and courtroom drama. Both firms plan joint originals, with Hoichoi Studios producing adaptations that bring fresh creative voices. Netflix says its close‑to‑a‑billion audience makes it attractive for studios, after deals with TF1 in France and Globo in Brazil. The lineup includes crime thrillers, detective mysteries, folklore horror, social dramas, courtroom sagas and romances. Hoichoi, founded in 2017, reaches over 250 million Bengalis worldwide.
