Matthias Jaissle Faces Pressure After Newcastle Loses to Everton

Matthias Jaissle is under heavy pressure at Newcastle after a one-zero home defeat to Everton gave them a fourth loss in six Premier League games. The decisive moment came when goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek let a routine shot from Tyrique George squirm under his body, allowing Thierno Barry to tap in the winner. And here is the catch. Newcastle have now lost sixteen of their past eighteen league games when conceding first, alongside seven home losses in twenty twenty-six. Substitute Jacob Ramsey added to the misery by getting sent off in stoppage time for two yellow cards. Jamie Carragher admitted on Sky Sports that he fears for the club, noting the team feels flat and boring. Newcastle sit in the bottom half of the table with eleven points from nine games, leaving fans to wonder how high this team can finish above the relegation zone.
