Kris Zierhut Confirms Northrend Exists In World Of Warcraft Forever

Fans spotted faint red and blue lights over Northrend in the new launch trailer for World of Warcraft Forever. That icy continent is famous from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Principal game designer Kris Zierhut confirmed Northrend exists in the game. Lead Classic designer Tim Jones floated the idea of a hostile level sixty zone up there. Arthas is still busy sending Kel'Thuzad to the Eastern Kingdoms in this timeline. The launch next week focuses only on Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Players will not see Northrend right away. Blizzard claims the game stays locked in a time bubble before Burning Crusade. Developers left the door open for future visits to those northern lands.
