Galleri5 Targets Indonesia's Mythic IP

The AI studio that built India's hit Mahabharat series is now eyeing Indonesia's myths, with Galleri5 and Collective Studios' Historyverse forming a cross-border IP pact that could launch a new wave of global franchises. The deal links Historyverse, Galleri5, and Singhasari Special Economic Zone to produce mythology, fantasy, history and animation projects, starting with a working title "Echoes of Nusantara." Historyverse will steer creative development, production and IP packaging while local Indonesian creators collaborate on the platform Galleri5 built in India, which houses over 200 AI models and has already produced more than 10,000 ads and videos. "The next global entertainment franchises will not all come from Hollywood," says Vijay Subramaniam, CEO of Collective Artists Network, noting Indonesia's "extraordinary wealth of stories." Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesia's economic minister, added the country aims to grow its digital-content sector by 8 percent through such partnerships.
