CoinDCX Faces $16M Transfer Probe, Says No Losses
October 22, 2026 · 1 source
CoinDCX is under fire after a sleuth traced sixteen million dollars in transfers to wallets the exchange says it dropped. The addresses were created in January 2025 and were reportedly compromised in July 2025. Investigators say one of those deposit addresses kept moving user funds for ten months after the hack. ZachXBT noted the address still fed deposits into CoinDCX's public hot wallet and paid transaction fees. CEO Sumit Gupta replied that they are investigating and assured no user funds will be lost. FlashRescue co-founder Darcy flagged the same sixteen million dollars moving to a Tron address tied to the exchange. He also said two addresses listed in CoinDCX's latest proof of reserves sent money to that flagged address. The platform was previously drained of forty-four million dollars in July last year, but it claimed customer wallets were separate. It said it would cover that loss from its own treasury reserves.
