Aston Villa Sues Jamie Carragher Over Insults

Aston Villa just announced they are suing Jamie Carragher over what they call unacceptable insults. On Friday, chairman Nassef Sawiris signed a statement saying the club will not allow anyone to block their rise in football. The whole mess started on the Stick to Football podcast. Carragher suggested manager Unai Emery would ditch Villa for Manchester United because Villa will never be a giant club. He even told angry fans to shut the expletive up on the show. Carragher later claimed his rant was just a joke after taking abuse from supporters. He posted that he has praised Emery for years and even celebrated their Europa League win in Istanbul.
