Arc Raiders Faces Backlash Over AI Voice Lines

Embark Studios used artificial intelligence to generate voice lines in Arc Raiders. Players pushed back hard against the lifeless dialogue. The studio admitted the criticism was totally fair. Audio director Bence Pajor said recording every single ping version was too impractical. The game changes too fast for actors to keep up. Chief creative officer Stefan Strandberg promised they are not trying to replace performers. Embark has already re-recorded many lines with real humans.
