Anna Mallett Exits Netflix in UK Layoffs

Netflix just laid off two to three percent of its London office staff. The cuts hit several hundred workers across PR and marketing teams. The biggest exit is Anna Mallett, who served as vice president of production for the UK and EMEA. Mallett spent over five years at the company during a run of huge hits like Baby Reindeer and Adolescence. She is a major industry figure and the former chief executive officer of ITN. Her departure follows global cuts where Netflix slashed one thousand roles, which is six percent of its worldwide staff. Those earlier cuts took out content chief Bela Bajaria and film boss Dan Lin. Netflix is dealing with slower growth and a declining stock price. Peter Rice has now replaced Bajaria.
