Steam Adds Personal Calendar Feature

October 24, 2026 · 1 source

Steam's newest update drops a Personal Calendar that shows games you may like by release date. The feature, in Labs since last year, appears as a widget on the store front and a stand-alone page. It lets you filter by tags, early access status, or wishlist items. It refreshes daily and pulls from your recent play history to match you with players who have similar profiles. Then it shows the games those players have added to their wishlists or are playing. Valve says the list is algorithmic and developers can't buy placement, so discoverability will shift. I saw Emberville, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered, and a lesser-known early-access title called Sulfur pop up. The recommendations feel sharper than the existing Popular New Releases and Upcoming tabs. It will be interesting to see how users adopt it.
