SAG-AFTRA Ratifies Animation Contracts With 12.6% Wage Rise
October 30, 2026 · 1 source
Animation voice actors just locked in a twelve point six percent wage increase over four years. Members voted ninety-four point nine-five percent to approve the new deal with the alliance of motion picture and television producers on Thursday. The four-year contracts also bring enhanced protections around artificial intelligence use. Residual gains and increases to health and pension plans are part of the package. SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin thanked the negotiating committee for getting a dignified deal. The agreements are effective retroactively from July first, twenty twenty-six, and run until June thirtieth, twenty thirty. National executive director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland noted the wages reflect the true value of their labor.
