Palantir AI Tools Unused By 29 NHS Trusts

Twenty-nine hospital trusts that NHS England claims are benefiting from Palantir are not using the tech at all. The three hundred thirty million pound federated data platform is supposed to speed up discharges and fix surgery schedules. Freedom of information requests show that hospitals like Epsom and St Helier are not using it right now. Others say the system is simply not live yet. NHS England previously claimed trusts carried out more than one hundred seventeen thousand extra operations using the platform. This summer, officials admitted they could not actually prove cause and effect. A statistics watchdog is now investigating those claims. Health secretary Yvette Cooper is facing growing pressure to axe the controversial contract. Palantir executives have hit back hard against critics. The company even hired former Labour deputy leader Tom Watson as a full-time lobbyist. Meanwhile, MPs have described Palantir's lobbying tactics as very Big Brother.
