Marvell Bets One Hundred Fifteen Billion On Photonics

Marvell is betting one hundred fifteen billion dollars on a photonics leader to push optical networking. The IP house believes optics demand is going to explode. Nvidia and other giants are eyeing much bigger systems right now. Meanwhile, Nvidia's rise to a networking titan started with a six billion nine hundred million dollar bet on Mellanox. That single move made them bigger than Cisco. It also helped them become the world's most valuable company.
