Disney Lays Off Up To 200 In Experiences Division
October 29, 2026 · 1 source
Disney just laid off between one hundred and two hundred workers in its Experiences division. The bulk of those cuts hit the Imagineering campus in Glendale. That division is a massive profit juggernaut. Profit actually rose twenty percent to over three billion dollars on almost ten billion in revenue. The company claims these moves are just project-based shifts in workflow. But a recent memo warned staff about hard choices and automating workflows with new tech. Josh D'Amaro has overseen multiple rounds of job cuts since taking charge. Those cuts follow a voluntary early retirement offer for older directors. Disney still employs over two hundred thousand people globally. More restructuring is expected soon in television and film.
