Broadcom Hides Cloud Providers Backing VMware Merger Challenge

Broadcom just flat out refused to name the cloud providers backing the challenge against its VMware merger. The company denied requests to reveal who is pushing back against the massive deal. Meanwhile, a developer just dropped an open source replacement for the VMware migration tool called OpenVDDK that VMware has kept hidden. People are already using this tool in production at scale. At the same time, an architect built AlpineBSD by combining the NetBSD kernel with the Alpine Linux userland. This new operating system is completely free of artificial intelligence.
