Apple Replaces Faulty iPhone Duo Screens

Apple is already swapping out iPhone Duo phones because their screens are developing lines just days after launch. The foldable debuted last week with a £1,999 price tag in the UK. Apple says a small number of units have an inner-display issue. Affected owners are asked to contact Apple for a free replacement. Users posted photos of thin lines and cracks along the central hinge crease. Some also reported a crunching noise when opening the 7.6-inch display. The problem echoes Samsung's 2019 Galaxy Fold fiasco, which also suffered early screen failures. Apple's quick replacement move aims to protect its first-ever foldable reputation. Apple described the issue as 'an issue impacting the inner display on a small number' of devices.
