SpaceX Eyes Boost Mobile Deal
November 2, 2026 · 1 source
SpaceX is courting Boost Mobile, a move that could add 7.5 million customers to its portfolio. The talks are with EchoStar, which sold spectrum to SpaceX last year and took a minority stake before June IPO. Starlink, SpaceX's broadband arm, reported 13.6 million subscribers at the end of Q3 2025, a ninety-percent jump from a year earlier. Musk also pitched the idea to Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, but all three rebuffed the proposal. Boost Mobile, an MVNO owned by Dish since 2020, serves lower-income users and rents network capacity from AT&T and T-Mobile. EchoStar shares rose four percent in early Monday trading while the three legacy carriers each slipped. Musk warned that industry veterans "don't understand that SpaceX is developing entirely new pieces that fundamentally alter the strategic landscape."
