Nintendo eShop Struggles With AI Clone Ghostly Whiskers

Searching for the upcoming dog co-op game Haunted Paws on the Nintendo eShop brings up an unauthorized knockoff called Ghostly Whiskers instead. Developer Lazy Flock previously called out Ghostly Whiskers for stealing their concept, visuals, and story using AI-generated assets. Nostra Games published the cat-focused clone, which launched back in September while the real dog game is not due out until May. Nostra Games has a history of releasing copycat games that lift from titles like Fallout Shelter and Crossy Road. Ghostly Whiskers still appears in search results for the showcase title despite the controversy that started back in January.
