Netflix Announces German Rom-Com Oktoberfest With Star Cast

Netflix just dropped the first look at its new German romantic comedy Oktoberfest, and production actually started on September fifteenth inside the real beer tents. Jeanne Goursaud stars as a waitress and single mother with a complicated personal life. Jannis Niewöhner plays a stressed businessman stranded in Munich during a trip. The ensemble cast also brings in international stars like Peter Gallagher and Fisher Stevens alongside a massive German lineup. And here is the catch about filming on location. The crew shot among thousands of actual festival visitors while people celebrated all around them. Director Simon Verhoeven pointed out that nowhere else can you share a romantic kiss while someone is throwing up two meters away. Production is now continuing at Studio Penzing near Munich where the entire festival world has been painstakingly recreated.
