FedEx Heist Steals $963,000 in Pokemon Cards
October 21, 2026 · 1 source
Thieves walked off with almost a million dollars of Pokemon cards from a FedEx truck on October 13. The truck was parked outside the Professional Sports Authenticator in Santa Ana, California, when the burglars struck. Police say the gang ripped open two full pallets and tore through a third, stealing hundreds of graded cards. The loss was estimated at $963,000, making it one of the costliest card thefts this year. PSA immediately deactivated the certificates for the missing items and warned its marketplace to watch for them. The company also told affected collectors they will receive compensation based on fair market value. FedEx confirmed it is cooperating with Santa Ana police and says shipment security remains a top priority. As PSA put it, many collectors view these cards as far more than a financial asset.
