Eric Bauza, the voice behind Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, died at 46. The Toronto-born actor, of Filipino heritage, died on Oct. 25 after a sudden hypertensive cardiovascular event. Some reports say he died at home on Sunday. Bauza had earned three Emmys between 2022 and 2025 for voice work. He voiced iconic Looney Tunes characters like Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, and Foghorn Leghorn. He also lent his voice to Space Jam: A New Legacy, Coyote vs. ACME, and the Super Mario films. At the 2024 Annie Awards he famously demanded the release of Coyote vs. ACME as Bugs. His colleagues praised him for carrying on Mel Blanc's legacy and for his passion for animation history. Bauza was a husband and a proud father of a young son. His sudden loss leaves a void in the world of animation and comedy.
